Welcome to the Wakefield Wireless Network Association (Wakenet) site

Wakenet is a non-profit community association devoted to bringing high-speed wireless Internet to homes in and around the Wakefield, Québec area. As a community based, non-profit, Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), we are driven by the needs of our members rather than by profit. Wakenet's wireless network has been running since April 2004 - the first in the Gatineaus.
