Monthly Costs

1. Wakenet Basic
   • $34/month + tax
   • up to 500 kbps download speed, 100 kbps upload speed
   • low monthly limits ($5 usage credits - see below)
   For light users who would like a step up from dial-up (as a means of comparing, dial-up speed is typically 56 kbps).

2. Wakenet Full Speed
   • $49/month + tax
   • up to 2000+ kbps download speed, 400+ kbps upload speed
   • medium monthly limits ($20 usage credits - see below)
   This service level accommodates most users.

3. Wakenet Commercial
   • $89/month + tax
   • up to 2000+ kbps download speed, 400+ kbps upload speed
   • high monthly limits ($30 usage credits - see below)
   This service level is for members who require a top level of support. This is typically for medium and large businesses.

Please note that speeds are "up to". Like all Internet providers, we cannot guarantee speeds.

Usage credits are a monthly bank of credits that you use to download and upload data. The data is priced according to the time of day (with the early evening being the most expensive: $2/GB). Wakenet's service plans are designed such that the majority (about 80%) of users do not go over the monthly limits. For heavy users, we offer the option of buying extra credits.

Installation Fee

The installation fee is typically $295 (in 75% of cases), which includes equipment and labour. An extra charge may be required for more complicated setups (typically less than another $50). Before signing up with Wakenet, we will provide a quote for your installation fee.

The installation fee connects one computer via an Ethernet cable. For more computer connections, a router is required (available for $50). As part of the router setup, we will connect up to three computers.

Equipment provided is owned by the member, and is guaranteed for one year. After one year, the member is responsible for any repairs or replacements. This being said, we at Wakenet will do whatever we can in order to minimize any cost to you if your equipment needs fixing or replacing.

Equipment needs to be plugged into either a UPS (available for $50) or surge bar (available for $10). We recommend a UPS because it is safest for your computer, but a surge bar will suffice.

We buy our routers and other computer equipment that we re-sell from Komodo Komputer, a reputable local business.
